El aparato HK-7305 para la separabilidad en agua de aceites de petróleo y fluidos sintéticos cumple con la norma ASTM D1401, Método de Prueba para la Separabilidad en Agua de Aceites de Petróleo y Fluidos Sintéticos. Este aparato proporciona una guía para determinar las características de separación en agua de aceites sujetos a contaminación hídrica y turbulencia. Se utiliza para la especificación de aceites nuevos y el monitoreo de aceites en servicio. Además, abarca la medición de la capacidad de los aceites de petróleo o fluidos sintéticos para separarse del agua. Aunque fue desarrollado específicamente para aceites de turbinas de vapor con viscosidades de 28,8–90 mm²/s a 40 °C, este método de prueba puede utilizarse para probar aceites de otros tipos con diversas viscosidades y fluidos sintéticos a otras temperaturas de prueba. Sin embargo, se recomienda elevar la temperatura de prueba a 82 ± 1 °C al probar productos con una viscosidad superior a 90 mm²/s a 40 °C.

Overview
HK-7305 Apparatus for water separability of petroleum oils and synthetic fluid conforms to the ASTM D1401 Standard Test Method for Water Separability of Petroleum Oils and Synthetic Fluids. This apparatus provides a guide for determining the water separation characteristics of oils subject to water contamination and turbulence. It is used for specification of new oils and monitoring of in-service oils.And it covers measurement of the ability of petroleum oils or synthetic fluids to separate from water. Although developed specifically for steam-turbine oils having viscosities of 28.8–90 mm2/s at 40°C, this test method may be used to test oils of other types having various viscosities and synthetic fluids at other test temperatures. It is recommended, however, that the test temperature be raised to 82 ± 1°C when testing products more viscous than 90 mm2/s at 40°C.
